John P. Farrauto

John is a legal icon in Westchester County where he has lived for most of his life.  John has represented clients in thousands of divorce and family court matters.  While he always makes a diligent attempt to reach a settlement, when a settlement was not possible, John has successfully tried innumerable contested cases on all family law issues, including but not limited to custody, support, and equitable distribution.  John has successfully argued several cases before the Appellate Division, 2nd Department and made law for the benefit of his client as lead counsel in the matter of Mahoney-Buntzman v. Buntzman, a divorce case argued before the Court of Appeals.  John has frequently acted as key note speaker on issues of family law.  He has coached the intercollegiate debate teams of both Fordham University and Mount Saint Vincent College where he utilized his own experience as a former president of his high school and college debate teams.  John previously served as Chairman of the Westchester County Bar Association, Family Law Section.
